Radcliffe's ambition to be Hoffman

Daniel Radcliffe says the success of Dustin Hoffman gives him hope he can be a good leading man, even if he isn't conventionally good looking. The former 'Harry Potter' star models himself on iconic US actor Dustin, because he is renowned for his method acting and the variety of roles he's played in his 50 year acting career, but also because they're both relatively short. He said: 'The person I've been looking at is Dustin Hoffman. In fact, I passed him the other day and he is absolutely on the shorter side, as am I. But he was in all those great roles, from action thrillers to romantic stuff. So there is a way of doing it unconventionally if you don't necessarily look like the 6ft romantic lead.' Daniel, 23, says one of best moves toward proving he is a serious actor has been starring in racy stage play 'Equus' in 2007, which helped show off his acting prowess. He said: 'Doing Equus was important. It showed people that I wasn't just...

Daniel Radcliffe 'punched' Jon Hamm

Daniel Radcliffe gave Jon Hamm "a good punch" on 'A Young Doctor's Notebook'. The 23-year-old star said the years of training for stunts on the set of 'Harry Potter' paid off on the set of the new drama series, as it meant he could give his older co-star a realistic beating. Speaking of a fight scene with Jon, he said: "I'm surprisingly robust. I've been training with the stunt department since I was 12 - I love all that. And I'm pleased because I gave Jon a good punch. I came out of it quite well." The four-part series - which sees Daniel star as a young physician trying to make his way in revolutionary Russia, but who eventually succumbs to drug addiction - also sees some gruesome scenes, including his sawing off a leg. He noted: "You assume once you're through the bone, the bulk of your work is done, but actually there's a huge chunk of muscle and fat as well." While parts of the series is shocking, Daniel takes i...

He was soon encouraged by management to grab a cab.'' Daniel previously insisted he hates clubbing and gave up alcohol in 2010. He said: ''I think [paparazzi] know I'm quite dull so they don't really follow me around. I don't do much, I go to work, I do my job, I com...

Ginsberg is also featured in this years critically acclaimed film On The Road . Taking those two films into consideration, it was intriguing to say the least that Radcliffe, who hasnt yet shed his Potter image, would be portraying a poet who was known for his loud antics, and ambitiously sexualized poems. Posted on Monday, December 17th, 2012 by Russ Fischer The image above comes straight from Sundance and is the first official look at the cast of Kill Your Darlings , which features a good crop of young actors as Beat Generation luminaries such as Allen Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs . Daniel Radcliffe plays Ginsberg and Ben Foster plays Burroughs; Jack Huston joins in as Jack Kerouac, and Dane DeHaan plays Lucien Carr, who introduced Ginsberg to Burroughs and Kerouac, and in so doing helped create one of the most notable writers cliques of the century. But a guy named David Kammerer ( Michael C. Hall ) was in love with Carr, and when Kammerer was found murdered, the group of friends was caught up in the investigation, and the young Ginsbergs coming of age is tainted by experience he would never have predicted. A full synopsis for the film is below. Kill Your Darlings premieres next month at Sundance. While he is attending Columbia University in 1944, the young Allen Ginsbergs ...

But Im hearing disturbing reports that the Harry Potter star may have embraced the Christmas spirit a bit too much and fallen off the wagon. A report in the US claims he downed shots of 35% ABV Jagermeister at New Yorks The Beauty Bar last weekend. The New York Post alleged that the 23-year-old actor was necking Jagerbombs a shot of Jagermeister dropped into a Red Bull energy drink until 2.30am. The American paper also says he requested Dusty Springfield from the DJ. Which, which by anyones standards except Louis Walshs is not good for the reputation.
