Daniel Radcliffe Demonstrates How to Succeed in Music Videos Without Even Trying

Sure as Harry Potter is the Boy Who Lived, you know who Daniel Radcliffe is. But how about Slow Club ? No need to conjure a memory charm, we'll help you out: they're an English folk-pop duo, who also happens to be Radcliffe's very-most-favourite band. And if you happen to be an indie act with a superfamous superfan, by Great Dumbledore's Beard you'd better seize the opportunity. Radcliffe stars in a new, single-take video for the band's "Beginners" -- a track off their 2011 LP Paradise -- playing a dude who wakes up in an abandoned pub, dancing and drinking the dregs of whatever was left from the night before. And like Robert Downey Jr. , Chevy Chase and even Rupert "Ron Weasley" Grint before him, Radcliffe lip syncs his way through the duo's song -- which occasionally makes it seem like he can sing in a male and female voice simultaneously. Must be something he picked up at Hogwarts. According to the Guardian , Radcliffe met the band...

Daniel Radcliffe, Shia LaBeouf And More Oddball Music-Video Cameos

Daniel Radcliffe gets boozy in Brit duo Slow Club's new "Beginners" clip . Shia LaBeouf goes interpretive (and in the beouf ) for Sigur Rs' latest "mystery film experiment." It seems that everywhere you look these days or at least this week some big-screen star is popping up in a music video, and the going logic seems to be: the more inexplicable the cameo, the better. Perhaps celebs view these oddball roles as welcome respites from the more, uh, rigorous demands of their day jobs (memorizing lines, standing beneath lights, sleeping in air-conditioned trailers), or hey, maybe they're actually fans of the bands they're helping out. Either way, we're happy to welcome this trend back after all, there was a time not too long ago (OK, sort of a long time ago) when bizarre celebrity cameos were commonplace in music videos. And, to be honest, we're sort of tired of seeing Megan Fox emote her way through another Eminem clip . So, in celebrati...

See Shia LaBeouf, Mischa Barton, and Daniel Radcliffe Slumming it in Indie Rock Videos

Image
Shia LaBeouf, Mischa Barton, and Daniel Radcliffe get their Indie on Perhaps it was the specter of Johnny Depp continuously hanging with Marilyn Manson lately, but actors are clambering to appear in indie-rock videos at an unsettlling pace. The most gasp-worthy star-sighting in videos this week came Monday with Shia LaBeouf's appearance in the (La)buff in Sigur Rs' video for "Fjgur Pan." Obviously the Internet had a field day trying to decide whether the very-NSFW nature of the clip, in which Shia and actress Denna Thomsen perform a heartbreaking (and naked) interpretive dance, was gratuitous or not. The director, Israeli filmmaker Alma Mar'el, says the nude scenes weren't pre-planned. But in light of LaBeouf's past video work with Marilyn Manson for the record, LaBeouf has also directed videos for Cage and Kid Cudi we're going to venture to call this one definitively (click-baiting) art. What's more, now the world has been reminded of how ...

Daniel Radcliffe and the Deathly Hangover: Star Gets Drunk, Passes Out (in New Music Video)

Hmmmwonder if Harry Potter's got a spell to cure hangovers?! Erstwhile boy wizard Daniel Radcliffe has gone to great lengths to prove he's all grown up'member his willy-nilly willy peepshow in Broadway's Equus ? Well, the actor ups the ante in the new video for Slow Club's "Beginners," in which he meticulously slashes away at his boyish persona with a laundry list's worth of boozy debauchery. Turns out, The Woman in Black star really knows how to black out... MORE: Shia LaBeouf Gets Naked, Goes Full-Frontal in New Music Video In the four-minute video, which was shot in one long take, the bleary-eyed star appears solo in a bar while in the throes of one gobsmackingly boozy bender. Or the fact that Radcliffe can convincingly channel one helluva dr...

Radcliffe suffers extreme headaches

Daniel Radcliffe is suffering from a rare, agonising medical condition known as cluster headaches. The Harry Potter star was forced to cancel a number of professional commitments earlier this year when the pain became so extreme he sought medical attention. He was diagnosed as suffering from a condition which causes intense pain on one side of the head and is experienced by just one per cent of the population. "I was in the middle of these weird things called 'cluster headaches'. It's very rare evidently, but it's exceptionally painful. It makes a migraine look quite tame," Radcliffe has told Radcliffe Britain's The Independent newspaper. "At the time I thought I was being a wuss. I was taking 12 (strong painkillers) a day and going, 'Why do I still have a headache?'" he said.

Daniel Radcliffe 'Might' Appear In 'Woman In Black' Sequel

Image
Ever since news broke that Hammer was planning a sequel to the surprise hit " The Woman in Black ," the question on every young Potter fan's lips was "But will Daniel Radcliffe be back?" Spoilers ahead. The big looming problem with any potential reprise by Arthur Kipps, Radcliffe's character in the first film, is that he died and apparently moved onto the afterlife with his son and wife. Then considering that the plot of the second film, "Angelof Death," will take place 40 years after the events of the original, a Radcliffe cameo seemed less and less likely. But new details from Hammer's CEO hint that an appearance is not out of the realm of possibilities. Learn more after the jump! At a special screening for "Woman in Black," Hammer CEO Simon Oakes spoke about the sequel, according to Bleeding Cool . Oakes would not offer too many details up on "Angel of Death," but he went as far as to say that Radcliffe "might...
