Daniel Radcliffe gets his nicotine fix as he and beautiful co-star Juno Temple take a break from filming

Shooting a new film can be stressful so when the director yells cut Daniel Radcliffe is often seen reaching for a cigarette in between scenes.

The 23-year-old actor puffed away during a break on the set of his new horror film Horns, on Monday.

While Daniel was indulging his nicotine craving he was joined by his beautiful co-star Juno Temple.

The pair had been shooting a woodland scene when they took a time out, allowing the crew to set up for the next scene.

While Daniel was seen smoking, Juno was attended to by a set make-up artist to ensure she was ready for her close-ups.

Juno, 23, showed off a glossy mane of auburn hair, a departure from her usual blonde locks.

Fans may recognise the actress from films such as The Dark Knight Rises, Killer Joe and St Trinians.

It's the first time Juno has been spotted on the set of the film and the pair were shooting scenes in a private nature reserve in Canada.

An official still for Horns has been released appearing in Entertainment Weekly, although little is still known about the plot of the film.

Daniel's character wakes up after a heavy night out, sporting a pair of horns, and has no idea where they came from or indeed, if they are real.

His character then has to contend with the fact that he's the prime suspect for the murder of his girlfriend.

Earlier this week Daniel was seen dressed down in dirty blue denim jeans, a red T-shirt and a yellow hoodie, Daniel seemed a far cry from his wizarding days.

Finishing off the look with as retro brown, leather jacket and a pair of scruffy white trainers the young star seemed comfortable in his new role as he walked around the set in small town of Squamish in British Columbia.

Clearly in need of something to keep him going during his busy filming schedule, the actor clutched a Starbucks cup in one hand and a bottle of water, roll-up cigarettes and a lighter in the other.

The Woman in Black star has been working on a number of projects this year, shooting films back to back, and seems to be keen to try as many diverse roles as possible.

The dark story, based on Joe Hill's best-selling novel and directed by acclaimed horror director Alexandre Aja, looks set to reinvent the star's image.

The diminutive actor is set to be in the spotlight again as his film Kill Your Darlings is set for release next year while his busy filming schedule at the moment means that he'll be a fixture on the big screen the year after.
