Daniel Radcliffe still tops rich list but One Direction catching up

The magic is in the music - and so is the cash, it seems, as boy band One Direction and singer Adele have shot up in the under-30s British rich list, pushing down Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint.

One Direction, who became worldwide stars earlier this year with their debut album Up All Night, made number five in celebrity magazine Heat's annual Rich List and are worth 26.33 million between them. Grint, who held the spot last year, is down to number seven.

Other Potter stars have hung onto their places, with Daniel Radcliffe top again with his 53.33 million fortune and Emma Watson at number four with 26.53 million.

The list, based on estimates of the stars' financial dealings, sees British Twilight actor Robert Pattinson move up to number two with 38.73 million, sending Keira Knightley into third with 32.7 million.

Girls Aloud missed out on a place because they are listed as individuals, despite being estimated to have the biggest group earnings of the under 30s with a combined 35.16 million.

Heat editor Lucie Cave said: "In these financially tough times it's good to know that at least somebody is rolling around on carpets woven from gold-plated 50 notes."
