Daniel Radcliffe Enthusiastically Brings Back The Perm In Kill Your Darlings

By Melissa SmithThere are a lot of firsts for Daniel Radcliffe in his role as beat poet Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings. First gay love scenes, first time filming in the U.S., and first PERM! The 23-year-old actor has proved hes not afraid of taking risks, and were sure youll agree that this time, the result is adorable.

As soon as we saw the first photos from the film, we became envious of Daniels luscious head of curls and couldnt help wondering what his secret was. So soft and wavy! So dreamy! Dont you just want to run your hand through it?! So at the movies Sundance premiere, we asked him to spill on the secret to his locks and also asked if he agreed its the best hair hes gotten to sport for a role.

Oh, yeah, [it's] far and away the best hair Ive done, he told VH1 News at the Sundance premiere of Darlings. I actually really did end up liking it probably a bit too much. I had a perm. Daniel Radcliffe and his luscious locks in Kill Your Darlings

The visit to the salon (pronounced in the cutest possible British way) became a bonding experience for Dan and co-star Dane DeHaan, who plays his love interest, Lucien Carr, in the film. Danes and my first day together, well, first day we spent a lot of time together, we went to a salon! He was getting highlights put in to play Lucien, and I was getting ! my hair permed, so it was nice!

Thank you, Daniel, for giving us that delightful mental image and also for proving it might be time for the perm to make a comeback!
