Daniel Radcliffe is Singing In The Rain

The Harry Potter actor was practising a routine from How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying but he could have been starring in Singing in The Rain.

Unlike Gene Kelly, drenched Dan carried on without the aid of an umbrella as the show's cast rehearsed for the 85th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in New York.

And while the chorus dancers covered up in fetching pink macs, he stood out from the crowd with a slightly more stylish black coat.

The 22-year-old Brit has been starring in the Broadway show since February, winning rave reviews and a number of critics' awards for the role of J Pierrepont Finch.

Earlier this month, he celebrated his 250th show at the Al Hirschfeld theatre and his performance in tomorrow's parade will be something of a swansong as he is leaving the production in January.

Daniel played boy wizard Harry in all eight films, spanning ten years, with the final instalment, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, released in July.

Yesterday he revealed his parents initially refused the role because they considered it would be too disruptive for a boy of 11.

But they relented when producers switched filming from the US to Britain, and agreed to limit the contract to two movies.

The role made him a world famous and catapulted him into the young rich lists, with a multi-million pound fortune.

His first post-Potter film, Woman In Black, is due for release in February 2012.

But for tomorrow he will be taking the lead from Barbra Streisand and singing a different ! tune - D on't Rain On My Parade.
