'The Woman in Black': Sneak peek at Daniel Radcliffe movie [Video]

"The Woman in Black" is London's second longest-running play, after "The Mousetrap," and judging from the trailers for the upcoming big screen adaptation starring Daniel Radcliffe, it's easy to see why.

The story, which originally came from the 1983 novel by Susan Hill, follows a solicitor as he is called to a creepy old manor in the English countryside to settle the affairs of the recently deceased widow who lived there. But soon after his arrival at Eel Marsh House, he begins to experience eerie noises and visions and learns about the stories of the Woman in Black.

The theatrical adaptation by Stephen Mallatratt has been running continuously in London's West End since 1989 and is notable for having only two performers. The big screen version, directed by James Watkins and also starring Ciarn Hinds and Janet McTeer, looks to expand quite a bit on the stage play's sparse trappings. It's expected in theaters in February.

And it looks much, much scarier than any of the "Harry Potter" movies.
