Daniel Radcliffe stars in 'The Woman in Black,' new on DVD and Blu-ray
"The Woman in Black"
Daniel Radcliffe
On a do-or-die mission to revive his legal career, widower Arthur visits a remote village and encounters spooky mansions, faces in windows, specters in shadows and warnings to stay away.
Of course he remains, soon finding a vengeful ghost and a whole lot of dead children. This creepy period piece offers decent frights.
As humorless, constantly worried Arthur, Daniel Radcliffe doesn't exactly make us forget Harry Potter. Ciaran Hinds and Janet McTear co-star.
The 2012 film cost $17 million and made $54 million in U.S. theaters. Extras: two featurettes and director commentary.
PG-13, 95 minutes. Grade: B-. Extras: B. Available Tuesday, May 22.
