First trailer for new British series co-starring Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm

The show will debut on December 6 on the British network, and will span four episodes set in a small Russian village at the dawn of the Russian revolution.

Radcliffe and Hamm will portray the same character at two different stages of his life, a doctor who recalls his first job in the Russian countryside. The narration is voiced by Hamm's character, who recalls his early years trying to embrace his medical career treating the superstitious locals.

The comedy-drama series is based on the memoirs of Ukrainian-born Soviet author and doctor Mikhal Bulgakov, A Young Doctor's Notebook, published posthumously in 1975 (the different stories in the book had previously been published separately in the 1920s).
