12:45, Tuesday, 26 March 2013

After toying with a menacing ghost in The Woman In Black, Daniel Radcliffe is returning to the macabre in Paul McGuigans forthcoming Frankenstein project, which the ex-Harry Potter has revealed hes very excited to be a part of.

Speaking to MTV News on the red carpet of Sundays Jameson Empire Awards Radcliffe said: Im not playing Frankenstein, Im playing his hunch-backed assistant which Im very excited about.

Paul McGuigan is a director that I really like, particularly Gangster No.1. Its not really for everybody, not for the faint-hearted but its a good film and Im excited to be doing it.

Radcliffe, who won the Empire Hero Award at the ceremony, added: Everyones trying to guess what the script might be/might be about and no one really knows yet.

Max Landis, the writer, actually put a really, I thought, a very interesting statement out about the process of writing it but nobody really quite knows what its going to be so its interesting.
