Adele, Daniel Radcliffe, Tim Burton on UK Richest List

PanARMENIAN.Net - Adele, Simon Cowell, Paul McCartney and Daniel Radcliffe are among the British entertainment industry figures who saw their fortunes rise last year, according to the annual Sunday Times Rich List, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Published on Sunday, April 21 by the newspaper owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., the list of Britain's 1,000 richest people also includes such new entrants as Coldplay star Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow and two other Hollywood power couples - Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter, as well as Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas.
Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov, who owns a 30 percent stake in soccer club Arsenal, is the new leader of the Rich List with an estimated fortune of $20.3 billion (13.3 billion).
Second is Russia-born Len Blavatnik, the owner of Warner Music Group, who is the highest riser in terms of wealth on the list. With $16.8 billion (11 billion, up from 7.6 billion last year), he climbed from the fifth spot on the 2012 list.
Another entrepreneur is the next highest-ranking entertainment industry figure on the list. Richard Branson ranks 19th this year, down from the 16th spot in 2012. But his fortune rose 3 percent to $5.3 billion (3.5 billion), according to the list.
Performers on the list include McCartney in the 133rd spot, compared to last year's 124th. His fortune is up 2 percent over the past year to $1.04 billion (680 million), according to the Sunday Times, which cited his touring income.
Spotify founder Daniel Ek ranks sixth with $380 million, Keira Knightley is 17th ($47 million, up 3 percent), and Adele ranks 18th with $45.7 million, a year-over-year gain of 50 percent.
