'It's Starting To Happen': Daniel Radcliffe Leaving Harry Potter Character Behind
WENNDaniel Radcliffe shot to fame playing Harry Potter from JK Rowling's infamous children's book collection but now the actor is determined to tear himself away from the role of the famous boy wizard and create a name for himself pursuing other acting roles.
Radcliffe gone on to feature in theatre productions including Woman in Black and more recently playing the Beat generation poet Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings, since the Potter movies and feels he's finally moving away from his most famous role.
The 23-year-old claimed he is aware that the legacy of Harry Potter will live on but wants to be able to play more than one character and is hoping to expand his skills as an actor.
The goal is to make myself an actor rather than just one character. I think thats starting to happen, he told Empire magazine.

The young star went on to claim he's a big fan of Hollywood's George Clooney who he met during the party following the White House Correspondent's dinner with the dreamboat dishing out some advice to the young actor.
He said, Theyre not all going to be successful but youre doing the right things, Daniel said.
However it seems ! that George isn't his only Hollywood inspiration. Recently he revealed that he is modelling his career on Dustin Hoffman.
The person Ive been looking at is Dustin Hoffman, he said to List magazine. I passed him the other day and he is absolutely on the short side, as am I. But he was in all those great roles, from action thrillers to romantic stuff, he said.
Earlier this month Daniel Radcliffe was spotted among hundreds of mourners at Richard Griffiths' funeral as the actor was laid to rest in a Stratford-upon-Avon church.
