Daniel Radcliffe, Charlize Theron to make special Oscars appearance

Daniel Radcliffe and Charlize Theron are among a group of stars who will make special appearances at this year's Academy Awards ceremony.

This will be Radcliffe's first time appearing at the Oscars, while fellow newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Channing Tatum will also appear as "special guests".

"We are quite excited to have Charlize, Chan, Joe and Dan join us on the show," producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement. "We are happy to feature them as special guests in our production."

Radcliffe will next be seen as Allen Ginsberg in biographical drama Kill Your Darlings, which premiered at Sundance last month.

The 2013 Oscars ceremony will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane, and is set to include a special tribute to the James Bond series and to movie musicals of the last decade.

Barbra Streisand and the cast of Les Misrables will perform at the ceremony.

This year's Oscars ceremony will take place on February 24 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast in the UK on a dedicated Sky Movies channel.
