Daniel Radcliffe To Star In Cult Novel Thriller Horns

YAHOO:

Daniel Radcliffe is adding another supernatural film to his illustrious resume.

The former "Harry Potter" and "The Woman in Black" actor will star in "Horns" - a big screen adaptation of Joe Hill's best-selling novel of the same title, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 22-year-old actor will play Ig Perrish, a man under investigation for the rape and brutal murder of his girlfriend. Ig awakens after a night of drinking to find horns have sprouted from his head. The horns force people to confess their sins - a power that will aid him in the search to find his girlfriend's killer and avenge her death, THR reports.

Director Alexandre Aja ("The Hills Have Eyes," "Piranha") will helm the thriller.

"After reading Joe Hill's cult book, I couldn't resist temptation to dive into the devilish underworld and reinvent a universal myth," Alexandre said, according to THR. "'Horns' is a wild ride of sin and crime, with a love story in its heart."

Shooting on the film is set to begin in the fall.
