Daniel Radcliffe's new movie role revealed!

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is moving on to more serious roles to play the poet Ginsberg in his new movie 'Kill Your Darlings'.

HARRY POTTER STARS THEN AND NOWThe new movie, written and directed by John Krokidas, will begin filming as soon as Radcliffe has finishing his run in the Broadway play 'How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying'.

Jesse Eisenberg was originally cast to play the role of Ginsberg, and it is not known what changed Krokidas' mind to cast Daniel instead.

The Fantastic Four star, Chris Evans, was originally cast to co-star with Radcliffe as the poet/novelist Jack Kerouac.

English actor, Ben Whishaw, who will also be appearing in the new James Bond Skyfall movie, will be playing the leading figure Lucien Carr.

The film, which is based on real events from the American Beat Generation movement, revolves around the relationship between the three characters; Ginsberg, Kerouac and Carr.

Ginsberg, who was openly gay, was a leading figure of the Beat in 1950s Ne! w York, a movement that was highly critical of US materialism, censorship and sexual repression.

His friendship with fellow writer Kerouac began when the men were introduced to Ginsberg's Columbia dormmate Carr, who was later sentenced to first-degree manslaughter in the killing of David Kammerer, another friend of the trio.

Radcliffe, who was yesterday named the richest under-30 in the UK, does not really need the money from the film, but said he wanted to take on more serious roles after being known as 'the Harry Potter boy' for eight years.
