Actor Daniel Radcliffe to write novel

J.K. Rowling had better watch out, 'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe plans to write his own novels in the future.

The 22-year-old actor, best known for his movie portrayals of Rowling's famous boy wizard, revealed his desire to 'write professionally in the future,' The London Daily Telegraph reported Saturday.

'I try and write at the moment,' Radcliffe told the newspaper. 'I don't know if I'm any good, as normally when I write, I'm so self-critical that it's not long before I have to throw away what I write.'

'The Woman in Black' star said he had yet to tell Rowling of his aspirations, adding, 'Perhaps I should get in touch with her for some help.'

Rowling's 'Harry Potter' series sold more than 450 million copies globally. Her first novel for adults, titled 'The Casual Vacancy,' is due out later this year.
