Daniel Radcliffe demonstrates comedy chops on 'Saturday Night Live' - What did you think?

Daniel Radcliffe demonstrated his comedy chops hosting "Saturday Night Live" for the first time this weekend.

The "Harry Potter" star opened the show with his monologue, where he voiced his hopes that there would be no references to the boy wizard that made him famous. These hopes, were dashed even as the words came out of Radcliffe's mouth.

In one sketch entitled "You Can Do Anything," Radcliffe portrayed a member of the "YouTube generation" of "people with no self awareness." The actor's character Brad demonstrated his two passions -- Irish jig dancing and Chinese calligraphy.

"I tried, and therefore, no one should criticize me," the British actor quipped after his performance.

Radcliffe gave "Harry Potter" fans their fix in a sketch which showed the wizard in the year 2020, where he is s! till pin ing for his glory days at Hogwarts.

Other sketches featured the actor kissing hobos in a game of Spin the Bottle and portraying Casey Anthony's recently adopted Yorkshire terrier.

The 22-year-old actor had a big year, topping Entertainment Weekly's list of Entertainer of the Year, appearing in the final installment of the "Harry Potter" franchise in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" -- which took in over $1 billion at the global box office -- and shining on the Broadway stage with his song and dance skills in the musical "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."

Radcliffe is also set to star in the film "The Woman in Black," based on the book by Susan Hill.

In the movie, set for release on February 3, Radcliffe portrays Arthur Kipps, a lawyer who travels to a village to settle the estate of a deceased client and discovered the place is haunted by the ghost of a scorned woman out for revenge.

The week's musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" was Lana Del Rey who performed "Video Games" and "Blue Jeans." Despite her popularity, the internet has been less than kind regarding Del Rey's performances (watch a clip of her singing "Blue Jeans" below).
